Bart the Bear™ was born in a zoo in 1977 and adopted by Doug and Lynne Seus and trained to be in films. The Seuses grand adventures with Bart took them from the Austrian Alps to the bejeweled backstage of the Academy Awards. Bart appeared in hundreds of films, including "The Bear", "The Great Outdoors", "Legends of the Fall", "Clan of the Cave Bear", and "The Edge", among others. He passed away in 2000. This video is a tribute to Bart, the Seuses, and the conservation nonprofit they created to protect habitat for wild grizzlies, The Vital Ground Foundation. Brutus, an 800 pounds grizzly bear, is Casey Andersons best friend. Casey, a naturalist, and Brutus are inseparable from the day Brutus was a 2 weeks old cub. Casey saved the bear from an overpopulated wildlife park, and raised him with lot of attention, love and respect. Brutus is living in a sanctuary that Casey built so he can freely live a life which a grizzly bear is supposed to live. Being around Brutus is not dangerous because he is comfortable around people, but Casey is still not letting anybody have physical contact with Brutus but himself. He is not afraid that the bear will ever attack him because he knows and predicts his every movement.

Red Sovine was born into an impoverished family in Charleston, West Virginia. Red's mother taught him how to play the guitar. By age seventeen, Red was working professionally. In 1948 he formed his own band, The Echo Valley Boys. Red moved to Shreveport, Louisiana and began performing on KWKH's Hayride (1949 ~ 1954). While there Red met Hank Williams, who convinced his label (MGM Records), to sign Red. The Saturday night Hayride was the closest thing to competition for the famed Saturday night Grand Ole Opry (GOO) and in many ways it acted as a farm team for up and coming GOO talent. When Hank Williams left his headline position at the Hayride to join the GOO full time, Red filled the spot. In 1959, Red signed with Starday and began touring the club circuit. During a tour in Montana (1963), Red heard Charley Pride singing at a club and urged him to move to Nashville. Sovine opened doors for Pride, but his own career hit a lull. Dream House for Sale (No. 22, 1964), charted after an eight year chart gap. Starday was renowned for producing a level of pure, undiluted country music ...
