Grizzly Bear Attack in Hayden Valley in Yellowstone Park - Man blinded 4:19

jross-video.com Wednesday May 23, 2007 - Man blinded and suffered in his face seriously damaged bones and skin in Yellowstone attack. Rangers searching precise site - looking anything left behind? If you are looking for the blood and gore, sorry but we missed that by a few minutes. Montana man mauled by grizzly was severely injured (now blind). The man, 57, was apparently taking photographs of a female grizzly and her cub along Trout Creek when he was attacked, park spokesman Al Nash said. Despite "severe facial injuries," he was able to walk two or three miles to the Grand Loop Road, where visitors found him and alerted rangers. May 23, 2007 about 1 pm in Yellowstone National Park. We happened upon the attack scene 1 hour to 1 hour after the attack after seeing several emergency vehicles pass. Cole was hiking alone off-trail in a backcountry area which is prime grizzly habitat, when he was attacked. We read that he was carrying bear pepper spray, but did not get a chance to use it. He (Jim Cole) was taking photos of a sow with cub(s). He received sever facial injuries from a claw (not a bite). Rich Berman (a friend of Cole) said he had no details of the attack, other than that the bear hit Cole twice in the head and face with its claws, wreaking terrible damage. Story details can be found on the web. The Grizzly bear picture is a real 3 year old male that I photographed in Yellowstone near Fishing Bridge, not the attack bear, but it was just 10 miles from the attack site ...

Red Sovine ~ I Know You're Married (But I Love You Still) 2:24

Red Sovine: Red was the last giant of country music's truck driving singers. Red trekked through the country music world for decades as a modest singer, but it was the song that hit shortly before his death, Teddy Bear that he will always be remembered for. The self-proclaimed King of the Narrations with his telling accounts about truck driving, are regarded as classic trucker jukebox selections. Red Sovine was born into an impoverished family in Charleston, West Virginia. Red's mother taught him how to play the guitar. By age seventeen, Red was working professionally. In 1948 he formed his own band, The Echo Valley Boys. Red moved to Shreveport, Louisiana and began performing on KWKH's Hayride (1949 ~ 1954). While there Red met Hank Williams, who convinced his label (MGM Records), to sign Red. The Saturday night Hayride was the closest thing to competition for the famed Saturday night Grand Ole Opry (GOO) and in many ways it acted as a farm team for up and coming GOO talent. When Hank Williams left his headline position at the Hayride to join the GOO full time, Red filled the spot. In 1959, Red signed with Starday and began touring the club circuit. During a tour in Montana (1963), Red heard Charley Pride singing at a club and urged him to move to Nashville. Sovine opened doors for Pride, but his own career hit a lull. Dream House for Sale (No. 22, 1964), charted after an eight year chart gap. Starday was renowned for producing a level of pure, undiluted country music ...
